The show kicks off with Bon Jovi’s “It’s My Life” and the Philly fans are insane this evening… like, even more so than usual! After the opening montage and panning the crowd, in the process showing off some rather creative fan signs, the cameras center on the announce table where Ned Roberts and Dominic Price stand ready to call the night’s action!
Ned Roberts: Welcome, fans, to Discovery #8! We edge ever closer to Destiny’s Gate and the first Discovery-only pay-per-view of the new era! I’m Ned Roberts, here in the best seat in the house, along with my fellow rabble rouser… none other than Dominic Price!
Dominic Price: PHILLY, HOW THE FUCK ARE YA?!
Sort of becoming a catchphrase by now, ain’t it? The crowd even shouts along with him at this point! Dominic is all smiles, naturally, clapping Ned on the shoulder before giving the camera his roguish grin.
Dominic Price: Sounds like they missed us, Ned! I’m just glad they ain’t forgot us!
Ned Roberts: You don’t up and forget about talent like we have on Discovery and truly in all of Galactic! And tonight, some of that talent is going to be on display… especially in our main event!
Dominic Price: You got that right! Fire & Ice continue a stream of title defenses by taking on the Satsujin Triad! And I’m betting that one gets almost as nasty as it did when they took on La Trinidad last time around!
Ned Roberts: We’ll also see our other champions in action when Samantha Hamilton, the Galactic Champion, teams with her fellow Shieldmaidens to take on Aurora Zambrotta, Nicky Silver and Kamila Rose!
Dominic Price: And that other champ you mentioned? That’d be house favorite Dona Rotten, the Ascendant Champion, who will be tangling with Jennifer Drew!
Each match gets a different reaction, the crowd loud for their favorites and not shy about the catcalls for those they prefer to jeer. All the hubbub is cut off, however, by the notes of (insert theme here), heralding the arrival of one Aubrey Cassidy!
Ned Roberts: Well, this isn’t on MY manifest. What about you, Dom?
Dominic Price: The Dom don’t know what it’s all about, but maybe we’ll find out, yeah?
Coming out to a potent if mixed reaction from the Philly fans, Aubrey spends a little time playing up how much she made everyone wait, knowing that she had the wrestling world’s full attention on her… all wanting a clue, or a hint. She teases not telling them again, but then reveals that as a result of her win at RE:Discovery, she will be challenging the winner of Samantha Hamilton’s Galactic Championship Match against Luciana Verdoza at Destiny’s Gate for said championship. The fans react strongly and a smirking Aubrey heads to the ring for her match.
The four women tangle violently right from the start. Aubrey’s arrogance bubbles over early and, for a time, she’s battered simultaneously by the other three women before being dumped from the ring. Jennifer Williams, Ryleigh Mathis and Lluvia Cane battle it out amongst themselves, Williams and Mathis working to get Cane out of the picture and make the match (relatively) one-on-one. The action gets technical around that point with the two young ladies exchanging near-falls several times. Cane bursts back in, booting Cane in the jaw and delivering the Angelic Rebellion on Mathis. As the hand is coming down for two, Wrath of a Lopez by Cassidy connects, knocking Cane from Mathis and allowing the future number-one contender to deliver Onw-Winged Empress to Mathis for the one-two-three.
And your winner… AUBREY CASSIDY!
Discovery cuts backstage where Luciana Verdoza is in the hallway looking through her phone and for the most part, minding her own business. She seems to be in decent spirits but definitely in a “business” mood. Suddenly, Allison, her publicist walks up to her.
Allison: Hey.
Luciana stops focusing on her phone and giving her publicist all the due attention of the moment. Dakota Mendoza, her protege, also joins in the conversation having been not too far behind Allison.
Luciana: Yes?
Allison: You were worrying that Galactic wouldn’t come back, were you? After all, it wouldn’t have been the first time you were snakebit when you had a championship match in waiting.
Luciana just scoffs and chuckles at this.
Luciana: I’m just glad that I’m here, you know? I’d rather be in that ring wrestling and not on the sidelines tonight but that doesn’t mean that I can’t come up with a plan.
Dakota: So that’s why you called us here?
Luciana: You’re a smart one, I am really beginning to like you a lot. You see, I’m starting to get fed up with Sam Hamilton’s mouth… or should I say fingers since there’s so much nonsense she’s spewing. First she’s questioning my passion, then she’s calling me an “attention whore” after I successfully deflect her questioning of said passion and the most hilarious of all is the fact that she’s hiding behind SO many people…
Allison: To be fair, Luciana… and I hate to say this, but she can say the same thing about you. I mean… Dakota and I… we’re here…
Dakota: Yeah, and you’ve got some plan in mind too… not that we’re questioning your toughness or anything.
Luciana: Ladies… I appreciate your honesty, but the fact of the matter is… there’s a difference. Neither one of you go with me to ringside. When I go to that ring, I go to that ring ALONE. This isn’t to say that you’re not allowed to be there with me, but the point is… she LOVES hiding behind her loved ones… she LOVES hiding behind the Shieldmaidens… which is quite sad considering that for starters… the ringleader of the whole thing is GONE…
Allison: Thankfully…
Luciana: And… if you both happened to watch the last Enterprise show before this company went on a little “break”... they are starting to lose their dominance around here. I may not know much about this Andrea Hernandez… though she seems like someone that’d annoy me… but I admit that watching her take that Hardcore Championship from a Shieldmaiden brought a smile to my face. Ladies, tonight, I’ve got a plan to let her and the rest of them know that… it’s GALACTIC Women’s Wrestling… not SHIELDMAIDEN’S Women’s Wrestling. Honestly, that word is starting to become one of the most repulsive in the English dictionary! Now listen, they’re in action tonight and what I have planned… oh it’s going to throw her off her game.
Dakota: Oh do tell! What do we get to do?
Allison: Yeah, I’m very curious about this. We’ve known each other forever and not even I know anything about this plan.
Luciana: Well… it goes a little something like this…
Luciana glances toward the camera’s direction and she raises her eyebrows.
Luciana: Is that thing on?
Cameraman: Um…
Luciana: Dakota… take care of that for me, please?
Dakota: Nice try, but this is a “secret meeting”.
Cameraman: Shit… SHIT!
Dakota snatches the camera right out of his hands and the scene suddenly cuts to a static, revealing that Dakota smashed it right on the floor before whatever Luciana’s secret plan happens to be was inconveniently revealed to the entire world.
As has come to be standard, the Shieldmaidens start off strong against their opponents, though they find Nicky, Aurora and Kamila to have plenty of fight. Nicky isn’t shy about brawling with any opponent put in front of her and Kamila’s high-energy style gets the crowd going just as much as the dominant teamwork and flawless execution of the Galactic Champion and Binary Championship hopefuls. Aurora tags in eventually and attempts to take them all on, feeling as though she has something to prove after the last few weeks. This leads to frustration when she stays in instead of tagging out, though eventually she does bring in Silver, who runs wild for a bit on Bullet and Bandit with aid from her partners. Samantha tags in, separating Aurora from the rest while Nicky and Kamila brawl with Bandit and Bullet on the outside. All of a sudden, a video of Samantha starts to play on the big screen… and shall we say it is less than flattering? It gets the champion’s attention just as she drives Aurora down with a pump kick. The distract gets to her partners, but not as much as they have adversaries to focus on. However, the momentary distraction is enough for Dakota, Luciana Verdoza’s protege, to slip in and bash the champion in the back of the head with a slapjack! Aurora does not see this, still on the mat, but when Hamilton staggers back toward her she rolls the champ up and gets the surprise three-count!
And your winners… AURORA ZAMBROTTA, NICKY SILVER & KAMILA ROSE!
GM Chrysanthe Kanelos, on the phone in her office, is rudely interrupted by Pet and a few of her Harem members, demanding to know why she isn’t booked and how someone else is getting a shot at Dona before her or even “that trash” Iphy Kopadi. Kanelos attempts to calmly explain her reasoning but Pet continues to interrupt and demand the glory that she deserves. Giving it a few moments to make sure that Pet’s done ranting, Chrysanthe retorts that if Pet wants another opportunity, she’ll have to earn it. Pet snarks back that she’s earning it just by being here but, seeing as how words won’t get through to the General Manager, she’ll have to “try something different” before leaving.
Tracy and Talia are on all cylinders tonight, both determined to have a stellar debut on Discovery. Tracy’s size works to her advantage, allowing her to overpower Talia and bring her down with slams and strikes. Talia is tenacious, however, and shots to the strong legs of Tracy slow her down enough for Talia to hit a spike DDT and a knee drop, getting a near-fall. A military press drop followed by a big splash has the same effect for Tracy: close, but not quite. The two women eventually get into a bit of a slugfest, which Talia surprisingly gets the better of. A sling blade brings Dixon down and Talia looks for the pin, getting another two. She brings Tracy back up, looking for her Rush Hour finisher, but Tracy surprises her by springing up and hitting a spear! Talia counters with a jawbreaker when Tracy pulls her up and almost scores with another DDT but Tracy powers out and executes the Kentucky Face Crusher to get her first win on Discovery!
And your winner… TRACY DIXON!
Cameras cut to the locker room where some very disgruntled wrestlers and employees are yelling about some kind of mess in the area. The camera gets inside only to see an odd-looking symbol smeared all over the lockers, benches, walls and even peoples’ bags and personal belongings. Someone had gotten in, perhaps during the last match, and tagged up the place with what looks like fingerpaint or perhaps some sort of condiment! One person opens their bag only to get sprayed with some sort of paint grenade, coming up with a pink face AND hair! No one is sure what’s going on, but it’s bad enough that the situation doesn’t even calm with Chrysanthe’s reassurances upon her arrival!

There’s ruckus in the parking area! Both Chrysanthe and her arena security are running the hallways to reach what looks like a massive brawl! Several of her security team members are already down by the time she and the camera get there, most left laying beneath a giant Mexican flag! And if the spray-painted tags on the rest are any indicator, it looks as if La Trinidad is in the house! Incensed, Chrysanthe orders the local law enforcement to be called and sets the rest on finding this trio of agitated chola before they ruin her show!
Dona Rotten arrives first and in the middle of her entrance she finds herself attacked by Jenn Drew! The challenger pulls the champion toward the ring and slams her into the apron chest-first before rolling her in, going after her with kicks and stomps while Dona is still down. She goes up top quickly to set up the Curtain Call but Dona is up quickly, grabbing and hurling Drew off the ropes and to the mat. Jenn complains of a hair-pull but Dona is having none of that, whipping Drew to the turnbuckles full-force. Jenn recoils out, holding her back, but somehow wrenches out of Dona’s grip as the Ascendant Champion looks for her Punk-Plex. Tripping Dona down and pulling her from the ring, Jenn attempts to bounce her skull off the table but Dona elbows out, grabs Jenn by the hair and gives her that treatment instead. She lifts Jenn up to slam her on the table but Drew fights her way down and hits a backcracker before hurling Dona into the steps. A running kick is aimed for the champ’s dome but Rotten gets away just in the nick and Germans the shocked Jenn into and over the announce table.
Hurling her back into the ring and rolling in herself just before the count of ten, Dona drags Jenn to her feet and attempts a second Punk-Plex, this one connecting though the pin is stymied by Jenn getting a foot under the ropes. Rotten, laughing this off, pulls Jenn up and shoves her into the corner, but misses her charge when Drew gets out of the way. A tornado DDT follows and Jenn goes up again for the Curtain Call. Dona rolls away, frustrating Drew, who hops down and goes after her. A dropkick to the back knocks Dona into the ropes and Jenn springboards off the ropes, then the top turnbuckle, drilling Dona with a triangle dropkick as she’s hung up on the top strand. Calling for the end, Jenn sets Dona on the top rope and goes up with her, nailing a few straight rights before hopping on Rotten’s shoulders seeking a hurricanrana! Dona holds on, though, and muscles drew back up for a second-rope powerbomb! Rattled from the impact, Jenn does not have an answer for the third Punk-Plex, giving the champion a win and allowing her to retain her title!
Your winner and STILL the Ascendant Champion… DONA ROTTEN!
As Chrysanthe returns to her office, looking a bit of a mess, Jennifer Williams is there waiting for her. She notes the situation with the mess in the locker room and the attack by La Trinidad earlier in the show and reminds the GM that she still has a bonafide herione on her brand. The enthusiasm alone gets a bit of a smile from Chrysanthe who almost blows Jennifer off but thinks better of it. Considering things, she turns back to Williams and agrees that she would be foolish to not accept this as a turn of good fortune and thus she gives Williams her blessing to right the wrongs of Discovery with her full endorsement. Jennifer is as happy as can be and “flies off” to do her good deeds while Kanelos, at least having her mood brightened by this, looks to handle the rest of the show.
Remember the last show’s big melee, Fire & Ice come to the ring in a fury and remove neither gear nor titles as they collide with the Triad, tackling them to the mat and right out of the ring, brawling away with their challengers! The champs have been on a roll with successful defense after successful defense and while they had their issues with yet another consecutive match with the gold on the line, they aren’t using that as an excuse. The Triad is initially unprepared for the assault but soon start to give back in terms of violence. Fire and Nari Chang roll back into the ring to get things officially underway while Ice and June Song remain on the floor, still brawling it out! Fire scoop slams Nari and drops the leg across her chest, getting a quick two. Nari battles back with chops and a headbutt, stunning Fire long enough for a reverse STO which gets Chang a near-fall. By now she’s ready to tag in June, who comes in and hurls Fire into the corner, running and delivering a jumping knee to the chest, followed by a snap suplex after for another near-fall. Fire means to tag Ice but gets pulled back so June can bring Nari back in.
They double-team Fire, yanking her to the mat by the hair as Nari stands over her and yells at the fans in Japanese, earning a chorus of boos. From below, Fire pulls Nari down and rolls her up for two, making another dive at Ice and this time getting the tag. Ice spears Chang to the mat and a running front kick sends Song off the apron and to the floor. Nari grabs Ice from behind but the champion executes a surprise stunner and a superkick to the still-standing Chang! Song rolls back in, attacking Ice from behind but Fire cuts her off with a tackle, helping Ice toss her from the ring before they set up Melt Away on Chang! Before they can deliver, La Trinidad busts in, attacking all four women with lead pipes! The first attack is on Fire and Ice, drawing the disqualification and leading the champs to retain the gold!
Your winners and STILL the Binary Champions… FIRE & ICE!
The end of the match is no reason, as far as La Trinidad is concerned, to stop the chaos! With the champs already down and grabbing for their titles, not wishing to further deal with La Trinidad at this juncture, the three women instead lay waste to Chang and Song, laying into them with pipes. With Song held back by Elyse and Diaconisa, Silenca pins down Chang and grabs hold of her left hand… specifically her fingers. She has two gripped in each hand while mounting the young woman, her allies forcing Song to watch as Silencia uses No Toque on Chang, leaving the woman cradling her hand and writing in pain. Diaconisa, smiling behind her mask, pulls a writhing Song up, allowing Elyse and Silencia to join her in delivering Tres Rostros del Miedo to the battered Song. At this point, Malaya Diyosa and Cappadonna come running down and La Trinidad leave the ring and head into the crowd, the damage done. The Satsujins scream for blood as Elyse, Diaconisa and Silencia stand upon the steps, throwing up the sign of La Trinidad as the show comes to a close!

Segment Six: A Violent Message!!
Segment Seven: A Violent Message!!
