FED INFORMATION-
Coastal Empire Wrestling began life as a small indy promotion that grew into a regional promotion for a time called Southern Rebellion Wrestling. There were growing pains that the company was ill prepared for and it was forced to shutdown at one point to allow for a restructuring that ultimately resulted in the birth of Coastal Empire Wrestling. Though the actual Coastal Empire is not a very big region, consisting of a few counties in Georgia, CEW will be running the entire length of the Eastern Coast of the United States. The home arena is the Rebel Star Arena in Rome, GA.
Events are held once a month, all matches are written in summary format at roughly 500 to 750 words per match. Commentary spots precede and follow every match. There is no actual commentary written into the match, but it is assumed to be there. Exceptions to the word limit are larger matches such as Royal Rumble / War Games / Massive wrestler amount matches.
The Company works on the following scale of pay. This is not a major international promotion, but it does pay very well for a large territory.
Pay Scale in character is as follows:
Starting Contract translates to $500 a night per event. Wrestlers are paid on appearance and do not get paid for events they are not booked for or miss.
After a wrestler moves past that initial trial period, their pay doubles per event at a rate of $1,000 with $250 off-time pay for being on call.
The Trial period is a span of four events.
Champions get a bonus of $1500 per booked appearance.
These figures come from what Impact Wrestlers are paid, if you are wanting a real life comparison.
CEW offers full in-house medical coverage from a competent trainer with EMT staff. All medical expenses are covered through the company's insurance provider and a percentage of profits set aside for the wrestlers. CEW takes care of it's own in all things.
Matches are decided the same night they are booked. This does not mean that outcomes cannot change before the event comes out, however. They are decided based on overage, momentum, strength of character, overall activity, and the storylines in place. Handlers can outline entire storylines and as long as all parties involved are in agreement and know what's coming, the sky is the limit for you. We encourage handlers too cooperate and work together whenever possible to come up with stories for CEW events.
THE ARENA-
The Rebel Star Arena was established in 2018 in Rome, GA and was built from the ground up to resemble the Hammerstein Ballroom internally. It's not a large space, with balcony dives possible. The bulk of events are held here, with pay per views going to larger arenas. It is often nicknamed the Rebel's House by the locals as Melinda Rhodes is the hometown hero of Rome, GA.
Capacity: 2,200 comfortably with 2,800 maximum if standing room only.
Ring: Standard regulation 20x20 reinforced wrestling ring.
Arena Style: Tiered seating with a bottom floor, first balcony, second balcony and third balcony seating.
Ring Side Area: This consists of an Announce table, an equipment/time keeper's table, and a seven foot gap between the apron and the ring barricade to allow foot traffic by camera men outside the ring.
RULES OF THE FED-
[2]Having said that, segment submission is optional, but highly appreciated. Without your segments, we only have a list of matches and nothing selling them. And who wants to read that? That’s boring! There’s no minimum word limit, so if possible always try to get some sort of presence on the show to progress your character and angle. Something is better than nothing.
[3]Real life should always come before this game, this much is a given. If you can’t get something in, a short heads up “hey, something came up and I won’t be able to write something for [x]” would be super appreciated. If you’ve been booked, and we don’t hear anything in thirty days, we might just assume you’ve grown too busy or lost interest and we’ll just quietly release you at that point to open up space for handlers that want the opportunity.
[4]E-fed is a game, it’s fiction, it isn’t real. Many people indulge in this hobby as a means of escapism from the pressures, stresses, and the overall problems of real life. Don’t bring real world issues into the game, for everyone’s sake. This means racism, misogyny, transphobia, sexism, and many others. Yes, this world is not perfect, but let us suspend our disbelief in this goofy internet wrestling world and have the chance to get away even temporarily, from the horrible, broken, sad real world we actually live in.
[5]Remember the human. We know when spewing tweets back and forth that things get heated and it’s super easy to get caught up in the moment, gimmick, and work, but remember the person on the other end is a human being just like you. If the tweet isn’t something you would say to a loved one, you probably shouldn’t say it online. You never know where someone’s head might be when interacting.
[6]Don’t be afraid to speak up! If you feel like your character is drifting, or lost in the shuffle, by all means open a dialogue with the promoter and discuss the best course of action to get your character back on track. There’s often several moving parts in e-fed, and despite our best efforts sometimes handlers may unfortunately slip through the cracks. But we don’t always know unless you speak up!
[7]Have fun! This is the most important rule of all, and I can’t stress this enough, this is a game and if you can’t enjoy it, stop, take a break as long as it needs to be, and then come back recharged!
