REBEL STAR ARENA
ROME, GA
12/03/2019
TAPE DELAYED TO 12/05/2019
"Run for Cover" by Otep hit's the P/A system as the show begins! The stage is standard issue with the Southern Rebellion Winged Star graphic blazing across the titantron screen, surrounded by a steel pipe structure and dark red curtains. Out onto the black corrugated steel stage steps Jenny Beck looking wild as ever in all black leather; pants, jacket, boots, and yellow Black Flag T-shirt. She lets out a wild howl to the crowd as pyro explodes behind her! The crowd erupts into cheers as their favorite ring announcer comes out to play!
She rushes down to ringside and slides in, getting to her feet to address the crowd.
Jenny: YOU KNOW WHAT TIME IT IS!!! LET'S GET WWWWIIIICCCCCKKKKKEEEEDDDD!!
The crowd cheers wildly.
Jenny: BOYS! SET THE STAGE! LET'S GET THIS SHOW GOING!!!
We cut immediately to Joe Koss and Mike Spazz at ringside!
Spazz: SUP BITCHES!
Koss: It is Wicked Tuesday and what a card we have lined up tonight! Main Event sees the Riot Group fighting for their right to rematch for the Tag Team Championships at SRW's upcoming Countdown Pay Per View!
Spazz: Why they gotta' fight for that shit, fats? What happened to the rematch clause?
Koss: Apparently Lil Dream Machines have been in contention for the tag belts for some time but like you said, Riot Group has the right to a rematch for the belts so.... it's being settled in classic wrestling fashion within the confines of the squared circle.
Spazz: Reb dun wanna' fuck with the Shield Maidens yo! They'll chain her ass up to the back of a bike and drag her over 50 miles of bad road!
Koss: They could, but what'd that net them? One less opportunity. Another big match will see River Chance and two mystery partners taking on Bianca Davis's goon squad, Triple B Badford and La Rebellion.
Spazz: That's still a shocker to me, Lunchbox. How the fuck do you get Rebellious types with rich bitch snobs? They should be punt kicking her head into row six!
Koss: Money talks. Bullshit walks, Spazz-O. We got a show to put on! Aurora Zambrotta versus Psycho Maguire up next!

AURORA ZAMBROTTA VS PSYCHO MAGUIRE
Written by ZMS
It is a classic case of power versus speed as Aurora and Saorise lock up in the opening bout, Aurora needing only a few moments to power Maguire down to the mat. Saorise bridges up and back to her feet, twisting the arm of the larger woman and driving a few elbows into the bicep. Zambrotta powers out and hip-tosses Maguire to the mat but misses a leg drop. Having rolled aside, Psycho rolls back and lashes out with a kick from the mat to the side of Aurora’s head. The attack gets her a one-count but Zambrotta tosses her off. Psycho actually lands on her feet from the force of it, hitting the ropes and delivering a sliding clothesline to Aurora to put her back down, though she gets no further on the pin attempt. Still, the shots are having an effect. Zambrotta gets back to her feet and starts whaling on Saorise, blasting her with right hands that seriously rock the Shieldmaiden, following with an inverted atomic drop and a BIG spinebuster for two.Zambrotta tries to keep up the pressure with a bearhug, but a ear clap from Maguire, or perhaps two, forces Aurora to loosen her grip. Holding her head, Aurora is out of sorts for a moment and Psycho has time to plan. Zambrotta charges before Maguire can put that into effect, grabbing her and tossing her most of the way across the ring with a BIG belly-to-belly suplex! She’s already in motion before Saorise is settled, hitting the CRASH LANDING and almost getting the three count! She’s a bit frustrated at that last half-count but centers herself and gets back in the game, whipping Maguire into the buckles. She comes barreling in and Psycho moves just in the nick, delivering a few hard kicks to the small of Aurora’s back! Psycho turns her around and almost falls prey to a big chokebomb from Zambrotta, but hits a desperation kick to the chest and breaks free! Some of the wind gone out of her, Aurora comes forward and Psycho whips around to hit the GEALTACTHA flush on the chin of Aurora! She drops hard and Psycho scores the one-two-three!
WINNER: PSYCHO MAGUIRE BY PINFALL AT 12 MINUTES & 16 SECONDS!
JESSICA JACKSON VS KATE STEELE
Written by ZMS
Two bad attitudes collide and there is no feeling-out process: things start off with a brawl which Kate gets the better of at the start, simply due to experience. Jessica takes a powder on the outside afterward but Kate is determined to chase after her. It is a ploy, though, and Jackson shoves Steele hard into the apron once, twice… only for Kate to come off the second shove with a big clothesline to take Jackson down! The referee keeps on counting but Kate rolls back in and then out again, interrupting that! Jessica takes that moment to sucker Kate in, tripping her so she falls into the steps! Jackson rolls back into the ring again, demanding the referee count Steele out! When Kate is back in around seven, Jessica, snarling mad, leaps on her and lands some clubbing blows to the back. As battles with Lyra LeVeux-Donavan have shown, though, Kate is resilient as hell. She waits for Jessica to go for a bronco buster and gets both legs up, knocking Jackson back hard!
Debilitated by the double-shot to the stomach, Jessica is easy pickings for Kate, who rolls her up with a cradle but only gets a two. A slingshot sunset flip follows but, again, Jessica kicks out at two. The constant attempts get under her skin, riling Kate and flat out infuriating Jessica, who puts a stop to the shenanigans with a superkick that rocks Steele’s world! A DDT follows but Jessica only manages to hold Kate down for two, prompting her to bark at the official angrily! Jackson pulls Kate up by the hair and shoves her into the buckles, putting a boot at her throat to choke her out, again drawing a count from the referee. She attempts a second DDT but Kate holds on to the ropes, then folds Jackson up for two-and-a-half. Coming up angry about the miscue, Jessica thrusts her shoulder into Kate’s midsection, then puts her on the second rope, climbing up after her. She steps outside her comfort zone, looking for a hurricanrana, but the set-up takes just a second too long; Kate shoves her off and Jessica, landing on her feet, cannot react before Kate sails into her SILENCE IS GOLDEN, getting the three-count just as Jackson throws the shoulder up!
WINNER: KATE STEELE BY PINFALL AT 13 MINUTES & 21 SECONDS!
CHELSEA WINSTON VS MAJA LINDSTROM
Written by ZMS
The two fighters knock knuckles in a show of respect before circling each other, locking up mid-ring but breaking away when neither women can gain the advantage. Taking charge with a forearm shot to the jaw, Chelsea whips Maja into the ropes but the two collide hard and neither goes down! Pointing out the ropes and sticking her jaw out, Winston dares Lindstrom to take her own run and so Maja does, colliding with the Scotland Brave but budging her no better than Chelsea did previously! Both seem to wear a small smile now as they lock up again with Maja wrapping Chelsea into a headlock but almost getting dumped on her head with a back drop as a result. She forces her way back down, shook loose by a few rabbit punches to the ribs. An elbow to the back of Chelsea’s neck puts an end to the extrication and Maja turns, delivering a kneelift to Winston. The Scottish lass eats it up with a grin and headbutts Maja, stunning her long enough to hit a Thesz press and several right hands!
Maja rolls out of this, leaning back just in time for Chelsea to NOT kick her head into the sixth row like a soccer ball! She rolls Winston up from behind for two but the pin was a mere ploy; Lindstrom blasts a rushing Chelsea with a roaring elbow and an ANGEL’S DEMISE for a near-fall! The strike rocked Winston’s world and she’s seeing three of Lindstrom, who whips her into the ropes and hits a back body drop, getting a bit pumped from the action. Running through Winston with a few clotheslines, Maja throws caution to the wind, leaping to the top rope for EYE OF THE STORM… and Chelsea gets the knees up! The impact still hurt, though, and both women are down for several moments before coming around, with Chelsea up just a half-count before Maja. A big running clothesline knocks Lindstrom for a loop, the follow-up neckbreaker leading to another near fall. Chelsea is starting to enjoy herself against Maja, getting a good fight out of things.
She looks to cap things off with the FLYING SCOTSGIRL, but Maja comes back to life, running up to the top rope, perhaps seeking the THUNDERSTRUCK, only to find herself in a fight on the top strand! Winston and Lindstrom throw chops and forearm strikes against one another on their precarious perch, neither woman giving an inch as the battle carries on! Maja gets hit with a hard shot that sees her teetering on the top of the ropes, but Winston committed so much that she too is also equally off balance. Maja throws herself forward to keep from falling while jacking Chelsea in the jaw. A gut shot doubles her foe over and before Winston knows it, she's in the pedigree and flying off the top rope diving IN THE RED! With an explosive impact, Maja rolls Chelsea over and hooks the leg for the pin and the win!
WINNER: MAJA LINDSTROM BY PINFALL AT 15 MINUTES & 22 SECONDS!
IN RING SEGMENT
Bianca, Bruiser Betty and the Southern Star Cross Tag Team Champions, La Rebelion, are in the ring awaiting the start of the big six-woman tag about to take place, all staring at the ramp from the center! Bianca is out in front, preening and taunting, while Betty stands behind her with thick arms folded across her broad chest. The champs, La Silencia and La Torbellina, pace back and forth like caged wildcats waiting for their meal and, truly, the foursome is an imposing sight even at a distance!
Joe Koss: I haven’t heard anything about River finding partners, Spazz! You don’t really think she’d go through with a fight like this on her own, do you?!
Spazz: Your guess is as good as mine, lunchbox! Girl’s got a lot of muscle but upstairs? Fuck if I know!
“Wrong Side of Heaven” by Five Finger Death Punch starts to play and the reaction for River Chance is an impressive one! The second-generation star gets plenty of support from the packed house as she meets several hands on the way down to the ring.
Jenny Beck: Give her some, LOVE, Georgia! Approaching the ring and weighing in at 170 pounds, the mighty… RIVER CHANCE!
Stopping at the bottom of the ramp, she looks at the assemblage in the ring, from the Rebelion to Betty to Bianca… and her smile turns into a grimace… before turning back into a wide grin! Bianca is clearly taunting her about “not having any friends” while Betty glowers from behind her employer. River, almost as taunting, puts her hand to her ear as though she can’t hear what Bianca is saying, making Davis just a wee bit irate!
Spazz: Tellin’ ya, taunting Miss Davis ain’t smart with these odds, Koss! What’s River on about?!
Joe Koss: Same as you, I got no idea-
Suddenly, River gives a gesture toward the stage, putting all attention on the entryway as the lights dim and the arena lowers to murmurs of wonder. A pair of whispering voices speak, the clearest one saying:
“Don’t bless me, Father, for I have sinned…”
From there, the hard drums and guitars of “Going to Hell” by The Pretty Reckless start up as an image on the big screen of a winged wolf skull with crossed broomsticks beneath it appears, smoke rolling up from beneath the stage as the tandem of Dona Rotten and Ascendant Champion Lyra LeVeux-Donavan come out on the stage, followed by Eric Donavan! Rome, Georgia shakes the rafters a bit as the words “Mothers of Destruction” washes across the screen in red!
Jenny Beck: I’ll be damned! Ladies and gents, introducing River’s partners! Led to the ring by Eric Donavan and competing tonight at a combined weight of 286 pounds… the Toxic Knockout, Dona Rotten! The Fire-Breathing Wolf, Lyra LeVeux-Donavan! Give it up… for the MOTHERS OF DESTRUCTION!
Coming down the ramp with wide smiles and wild eyes, Lyra and Dona stand on either side of River while Eric remains behind the triumvirate! Bianca is apoplectic, stomping and pointing and yelling while Betty lowers her arm, her snarl getting even more dire! As for the tag champs, the pacing stops and they lock eyes on the MOD, who nod back with sinister grins!
Joe Koss: This just got a LOT more interesting, Spazz-o!
Spazz: You ain’t kiddin’! Love me some Goth bitches and they don’t come no hotter than Rotten and LeVeux!
Joe Koss: You just mind your manners, pal! Eric might not appreciate what you’d consider ‘kind words’ for his wife!
Spazz: If he ain’t used to starin’ and lustin’ from others in the direction of that black diamond, same goin’ for ol’ Eddy Poe, then they oughta keep ‘em in the kitchen!
Sliding into the ring as one, River, Lyra and Dona get face to face with their opponent while Bianca, hiding behind her pack, demands that Betty take her place in this match, which the referee has no choice but to grant! Leaving the ring with a smirk and marching orders for her side, Bianca stares angrily at a smirking River as she takes her place in her team’s corner! Eric, likewise, whispers something to Dona and Lyra before leaving the ring himself, already urging on the Mothers and River as the bell tolls!
DING! DING! DING!

LA REBELLION W/BIANCA DAVIS & TRIPLE B
VS
RIVER CHANCE & MOTHERS OF DESTRUCTION
VS
RIVER CHANCE & MOTHERS OF DESTRUCTION
Written by ZMS
After some minor debate, La Silencia starts things off for her side, tossing her bandana mask and squaring off with Dona Rotten! There’s no lock-up here, kiddies: these two hellcats just start laying into one another with fists and chops, trading shots recklessly and getting the fans jacked up all over again! Eventually, Silencia gets the better of the Toxic Knockout, kicking one of her legs from under her and grabbing her left hand, gripping her fingers! NO TOQUE leaves Rotten cradling her hand for a moment as Silencia yells at the fans in Spanish… but when she goes back to Rotten, she’s grabbed by the hair so Dona can chomp down on her nose! Wrenching away with a shriek, and turning up bleeding a bit, Silencia stares at Dona, who spits on the mat and dares her to come back in for more! The two launch into another slugfest that gets wild enough to draw Torbellina into the ring to try and rescue her, drawing in Lyra to attack the other half of the Southern Star Cross champions! Naturally, a scowling Betty wants in on this but she’s waylaid by a charging River as the match turns into an uncontrolled melee on the quick-fast!
By the time things settle, River and Betty have brawled their way outside the ring, throwing crushing shots until Bianca Davis distracts Chance, allowing Betty to run through her with a colossal clothesline, almost turning Chance for a loop! Back in the ring, Lyra clashes now with Silencia, almost cracking her with a Wolf Fang before Silenca puts her down with a chokehold STO! Torbellina is teeing off on Dona Rotten, stopped only when the Toxic Knockout hits a rolling sobat kick and a knee drop. By then, Lyra has fought her way out of Silencia’s grip and taken her to a knee with an enzuigiri. Working with Dona, they toss Silencia up as a team and deliver simultaneous kicks to the midsection as she comes down! On her hands and knees, Silencia is dropped by a tandem elbow drop from the Mothers and Dona rolls her over for a pin attempt, the tag champ kicking out at two! Legally tagging in Lyra, the Fire-Breathing Wolf takes over again, delivering a few shots to the spine of Silencia before wrenching her back into a dragon sleeper! River breaks away from Betty after shoving her into the steps, getting back to the apron while Bianca yells at her charge to get up. Silencia wrenches out of the sleeper and headbutts Lyra in the face. Falling back into the ropes, River tags herself as Silencia tries to keep her out of things with a running front dropkick.
The referee is on Silencia’s case as she screams back in his face, letting Torbellina get around the ring to attack River along with Bianca and Betty thanks to the ref’s distraction! But the rest of River’s team leap in and once again we have another fight going on! The official is at a loss as the brawl continues on the outside, the wild-and-unpredictable assault of La Rebelion being matched up by the joyous violence of the Mothers of Destruction! Bianca, thrown aside by River, gets under the ring for a chair but, when she draws back to swing, Eric Donavan is there to snatch the furniture from her hands, throwing it aside with a shake of his head! Bianca, stomping her feet in fury, slaps the hell out of Eric who, tonguing the inside of his cheek shrugs and looks past Davis for a moment with a smirk! Raising a blonde brow, Bianca turns around to see herself face-to-face with a snarling Lyra LeVeux-Donavan! Grabbed by the hair, Bianca has her head bounced off the edge of the apron a few times before being put down with an ONI BOMB! River, fighting off Betty now, avoids the massive warriors huge swings, shoving her into the ring post, following with a back body drop on the floor, though the effort takes something out of her! La Rebelion converge on River and Lyra, delivering a gangland-style as the official tries to get the competitors back into the ring rather than counting them out! Unseen by the rest is Dona, who heads to the top rope and takes to the air with a moonsault, sending the pile to the floor!
River, rolling back into the ring, is followed by Silencia who goes for Chance’s fingers! When the powerhouse breaks free, Silencia instead rakes the eyes and delivers PARADA REPENTINA to Chance! Also back up on the apron now, Betty, yelling, demands that Silencia tag her in. The words are not understood, but the gesture is… and so the tag champ gives Betty what she wants! A big military press drop is delivered to River, who still gets back up after the drop and the follow-up stomps of Bruiser Betty! Sent into the corner with a choke toss, River barely moves away from Betty’s charge, throwing a few heavy forearms to the back of the woman’s head while Bianca, back on her feet, yells at both women and causes another distraction. The referee warns her off while Eric looks on from the outside, La Rebelion getting impatient when Betty can’t finish off River and joining in on the beating! River draws them in, though, causing Silencia and Torbellina to knock Betty into the ropes instead of her and allowing her to fall back into her corner where the MOD both tag in! Rebelion are ready, though, and an ARRASTRE, COBARDE takes Dona down to a knee, a CAER EN DESGRACIA almost leads to Lyra getting pinned for three until Dona lunges in to break it up! River, having not gotten out of the ring, is back at it with Betty as the match once more degenerates into a wild brawl! La Rebelion simultaneously send the Mothers outside the ring but Dona and Lyra stop themselves on the apron, slingshotting back into the ring between the ropes with a double-spear to drop the champs when they realize their effort was only half-effective!
Betty, attempting to hurl River bodily from the ring, is stymied when River grabs the ropes and is able to get down without being slammed mercilessly, in the process hanging Betty up throat-first on the top rope! She tags Lyra as the Fire-Breathing Wolf is near the ropes, making herself legal just before the MOD send the tag champs to the floor! Betty lowers the boom on River with more clubbing blows, Bianca leaping onto the apron now to berate just about everyone in her line of sight! She grabs River by the hair and arm, holding her for Betty, but the Brusier finds herself stopped by the Mothers of Destruction, who drop her to a knee with repeated kicks before delivering a simultaneous BRAINDEAD knee and CHAINSAW KICK strike to her head from opposing sides! River, elbowing Bianca in the jaw, breaks out of her grip but almost eats a face-full of Aqua Net from Bianca! Rolling out of the ring, the Mothers yank Davis off the apron, her head bouncing off the apron as she goes down! River, still legal, grabs the wobbly Betty and with a mighty shriek, puts her down with the POMMEL STRIKE, getting a one-two-three while Dona and Lyra manage to hold La Rebelion back!
WINNER: RIVER CHANCE & M.O.D. BY AT 26 MINUTES & 15 SECONDS!
The longest match of the night and possibly the biggest show stealer to boot, River rolls out with Dona and Lyra side by side, Bianca standing in the middle of the ring FUMING! She drops and pounds her fist to the mat furiously while La Rebellion take their tag team championships in hand, reminding the world they weren't the ones that lost the match!
ELSEWHERE....
There she stands silhouetted before a window in a pitch black room, the moon's light shining down upon her shoulders to give the barest of illumination to an imposing frame. From the surroundings one could easily surmise she is neither in the arena nor even in the area and why should she be? Ursula Von Rossbach was not booked for this event. With stars glittering in the open sky, framed by a barely visible treeline, she address
UVR: I have been silent and distracted by opportunities and annoyances elsewhere. I have not forgotten my contendership for the Ascendant championship and I hope that Lyra Donovan has not forgotten that she shall face me soon enough at the next pay per view event that I have yet to be informed what the name is.
She scoffs.
UVR: One must beg the question. Why am I here? Ever since Melinda Rhodes took over this company, my opportunities and bookings have become fewer. I have gone from being in contention for The Queen of the South championship to having a contendership for the Ascendant title and watching as others have title shots before I do. This? I find unacceptable.
Stepping forward, Ursula enters into an off-camera light source that illuminates half of her face, the other dramatically shadowed.
UVR: Ignore me at your own peril, Rhodes. You know what happens when I am ignored for too long.
She lightly drags her thumb across her throat in symbolic fashion.
UVR: Test my patience further. It will not end well.
The light turns off and the view cuts back to the show!

JULIET BLACK VS NARI CHANG w/JUNE SONG
As this was not a Hardcore match, Nari Chang walked in expecting a much more one-sided affair, claiming before the match that Juliet Black is nothing more than a garbage wrestler with no actual skill. When the match opened up with a surprisingly scientific Juliet dominating the powerhouse with chain wrestling and fast maneuvers, her tune quickly changed. Nari found herself in the struggle of a lifetime, woefully underestimating her opponent as she was blitzed with a mix of UK technical wrestling mixed with strong style shoot kicks. She's sent back into the ropes and even through them, stumbling onto the apron and falling to the floor! Joining her, Juliet fires off a stiff kick but Nari catches the foot! Juliet goes for the BARE KNUCKLE GLAM but her wrist is caught and suddenly she's pulled in for a SPINEBUSTER! Nari takes full advantage with June cheering on as she brutalizes a stunned Juliet, slamming her about the ring, the barricades, against tables and then finally hurling her back into the ring, then entering after her before the ten count can complete! Juliet tries to back off and regroup, but Chang gives her no chance, laying into her with vicious stomps.Juliet is lifted by her neck with both of Chang's hands and then tossed up and over with an OVERHEAD CHOKE SUPLEX! Chang stops and poses with a flex of her muscles to the crowd. It's at that point that Cappadona and Malaya Diyosa, carrying a small black bag, join June Song at ringside. The Satsujin Triad members promptly pull out and set up a table on the entrance side of the ring. Chang gathers the stunned Juliet and lifts her up on one shoulder. She points towards the table and gets a running start, only for Juliet to slip off and shove her into the ropes. Chang hits them and snaps off only to instantly eat a running BARE KNUCKLE GLAM! Chang flips over the ropes and lands on her feet on the apron, but falls right into the table outside! Juliet crouches down and motions for all the Satsujin Triad members to come at her, saying "YOU DON'T HAVE THE BOLLOCKS TO STEP UP!"
June and Cappadonna quickly slide in and Juliet is quickly attacking them both, dropping June with a snap kick to the temple and then promptly driving Cappadona into the ropes with vicious lefts and rights! The Referee quickly calls a NO CONTEST
DQ - NO CONTEST AT 13 MINUTES & 10 SECONDS!
Juliet fights back against the other Triad members left and right until Malaya Diyosa slides in from behind while she's distracted and hits her in the leg with what was in her bag.... A CATTLE PROD! Again and again, Juliet is hit with electric jolts until she drops to the canvas! The Triad waste no time attacking her while she's down. The referee tries to stop it and instantly eats a spinning heel kick from Cappadona! Chang sets up a table in the ring, then gathers up Juliet and together, she and Cappadona hit the ELECTRIC CHAIR FLYING GUILLOTINE on Juliet, driving her through the table! Security finally arrives at ringside, but the damage is done as the Triad leave a twitching Juliet Black lying in the wreckage of a table in their wake.....

CONTRACT SIGNING
Jenny Beck: Ladies and gentlemen, make that fuckin’ noise! There’s more action a-comin’, but right now we got two dangerously talented women ‘bout to sign their lives away! Introducin’ first, Beautiful AND Deadly, the number one contender to the Queen of the South Championship… get on your fuckin’ feet for… RO~SE!
LL Cool J’s “Mama Said Knock You Out” plays the new number one contender, and Rose looks dams serious, dressed in a tight tank under an open button-down tied at the midriff, tight jeans and black combat boots, a black SRW hat work backwards atop her head. She storms down to the ring and slides in, coming up to her feet and throwing her fists in the air before bringing her arms down in a tight flex, showing off her considerable muscle!
Joe Koss: That woman could pop most peoples’ heads off just by flexing an arm!
Spazz: You got some weird-ass fantasies, lunchbox!
Joe Koss: Hello, pot, I’m kettle!
Spazz: Fuck’s that mean?!
There’s a mixed reaction for Rose; though many cheer her, some aren’t liking the edge to her attitude lately. She pays no mind to the haters, though, doing her best not to tear through her clothing like She-Hulk before finally taking her seat on one side of the table, making sure she’s facing the stage. As “Mama Said Knock You Out” fades, the fans start murmuring a little in anticipation…
Jenny Beck: And now, boys and girls, stay right up there on your feet and welcome the reigning and defending SRW Queen of the South, the magically-delicious Sorceress Supreme of Professional Wrestling… ZOEY MADIGAN-STAR!
After a short lull, “Theatre” by Icon For Hire starts to play and the lights go up as smoke rises from the stage. Through this walks the Queen of the South Champion, dressed in a tailored black jacket and skirt, a flash of purple silk beneath the former and long legs sheathed in silkl beneath the latter, leading into knee-high heeled boots. Unstrapping the title from around her waist, Zoey holds it up high as glittering pyro rains down behind her.
Spazz: Ain’t no one makes an entrance like the Magical Maiden, Koss!
Joe Koss: You haven’t washed your face since she laid that kiss on you, have you?
Spazz: Ain’t ashamed, neither! You’ll get you some one day! But damn… she’s rockin’ the hot teacher look tonight!
Joe Koss: Don’t make me get the spray bottle, Casanova!
Draping the belt over her shoulder, Zoey approaches the ring and ascends the step as Rose stands, never taking her eyes off her opponent. Wiping her soles and stepping between the ropes, Zoey holds the belt up once again to the cheering masses before turning to Rose. Walking to the table, the champ puts the title down on display for the world to see, then takes the other chair, crossing one long leg over the other. Jenny Beck, standing at one end of the table, lays it out as “Theatre” ceases to play.
Jenny Beck: Now, ladies, the boss wants this kept clean, understand? You got somethin’ to say to each other? There’s microphones! You wanna sign and walk? There’s pens. Now… let’s make this happen!
Rose wastes no time taking one of the pens and turning the contract her way, signing her name on the dotted line without hesitation. Slapping the contract back down, she turns it Zoey’s way and lifts the microphone next to it.
Rose: I hope you aren’t taking this lightly, Zoey, because I really feel like that’s the vibe you’re putting off right now. Like I’m just someone else that you’re going to beat and move on from. And that pisses me off!
Her tone becomes harsh and Jenny starts to look a little concerned. Still relaxed in her seat, Zoey looks on calmly as Rose picks up again.
Rose: I’ve been here since damn near the start, when this place had another name and another boss. I’ve been busting my ass ever since, not just here but elsewhere, trying to make a name for myself and earn some gold. And recently? Recently I managed that. In another company we share, where you’ve yet to come close to a championship!
That comment makes Zoey’s eyes narrow a little and she sits forward in her chair a bit, Rose smirking.
Rose: But that isn’t enough for me. I tore through Jessica Jackson two weeks ago to get a shot at you, and while I don’t expect to have an easy night at the office when Countdown rolls around and we lock-up? I WILL beat you and I WILL become the Queen of the South Champion!
Zoey Madigan-Star: Sort of an “with all due respect” situation, eh, Rose?
A blonde brow lifts on the challenger’s face as Zoey, sitting a little further forward, twirls the microphone in her hand. She’s smiling, but only slightly.
Zoey Madigan-Star: I have shown you nothing but respect and was one of the first to congratulate you for winning the Gateway Championship. I have championed you to anyone who will listen because I’ve seen what you can do in that ring and it has impressed me. In fact, up until a couple moments ago, I thought everything was fine between us. But it looks like all it takes to ruin the piece is a little gold…
She gazes knowingly at the Queen of the South Championship and Rose follows her gaze. Waiting until she has the challenger’s full attention again, Zoey locks on to her.
Zoey Madigan-Star: I’m telling you here and now, Rose, that my respect for you is real and that you’re considered a friend even after ranting at me like that. Thing is, the same goes for myself and Ursula Von Rossbach… yet when the bell rang, all that went out the window. And, with all due respect? You are no Terminator.
The fans ‘ohhhhh’ at that one and Rose, her jaw setting, rises slowly from her seat. Zoey, staying where she is, looks up at the challenger with a very serious expression… fully aware that that comment might provoke a violent reaction from Rose. Rose then lent on the table looking Zoey in her eyes as she answered back.
Rose: You’re right, Zoey: I’m no Terminator. I have never claimed to be Ursula because she is a one-off. What I am is the woman who’s going to do what she couldn’t. I’m the one who’s taking everything you got and coming back for more. See, Zoey, you can say that you are happy to build me up and say that I’m this and that to people but at the end of the day, with all due respect, your opinion didn’t get me the Gateway Championship. It didn’t get me the number one contendership. It got me nothing! I earned those on my own and come Countdown, I’m going to earn your Queen of the South Championship by ripping it from your hands and there is not a goddamn thing you can do about that!
Rose slammed the mic down at this point and just stared a hole through Zoey! The fans are all over her case as Zoey calmly rises from her seat and looks Rose in the eye. She swipes the ornate chopsticks from her hair, letting it fall loose, and unbuttons her jacket. It looks for all the world that she’s getting ready for a fight, but instead she takes up the microphone and speaks again in a firm, calm voice.
Zoey Madigan-Star: Like I said: put gold between friends and this is what happens. The angry words start and all the good is forgotten. But you know, Rose? You’re right. You earned gold on your own, got this shot at me on your own and all else. And you should be proud of that. These people should be proud of you for it. Thing is? They see what I see… that you’re too drunk on recent success to see what you’re in danger of becoming, that your anger is blinding you to some very hard truths.
She leans in just a bit more, almost going nose to nose with her Beautiful & Deadly challenger.
Zoey Madigan-Star: And the most important of those truths is that I’ve done the same as you. Fought through adversity, weathered betrayal, been broken and beaten down more times than I can count. But I picked myself up and got back on track, and I didn’t lose any of myself in the process, like you’re doing now. The little girl who everyone said had to be carried by her partner, the one who was scared at one point of raising her voice, who had smiles for everyone and was living on a dream is no more. Now?
The title is picked up and held high.
Zoey Madigan-Star: I am the most dominant champion that Southern Rebellion has ever seen. I have taken on every opponent put before me and beaten… them… ALL! When it came time to put this company back on the map after we went down in flames, I LED that charge and made this place mean something all over again! No, I didn’t do that on my own, but I darn sure shouldered the lion’s share of the load. You, Rose? You’re amazing in the ring and someone that everyone in that locker room should keep their eyes on, especially heading into Countdown! But if you keep walking this road with a chip on your shoulder, copping an attitude with someone who’s never done anything but right by you? I’m not just going to beat you at the pay-per-view. I’m going to teach you a hard lesson in the process: no one flies higher than an angel.
Putting down title and microphone, Zoey takes up the other pen and signs her name on the contract right below Rose’s, closing it and putting the pen down on top of it.
Zoey Madigan-Star: Choice is yours.
Rose took the mic up once more and looked Zoey in her eyes once more.
Rose: That’s a hell of a speech you gave there, champ, and there is no doubt you seem ready to go. However, you got to understand that there is nothing you can say or do to put fear in me. You can say that I walk around with me a chip on my shoulder and I got a bad attitude but you gotta understand: the world I was in before I got here taught me that this is the only way to be. See, when you’re a gun for hire like I was, the moment you take a breath there will be a bullet in your head. You never switch off and you can say that nothing flies higher than an angel but the thing is? An angel can’t fly if you rip is wings off and that’s what I’m doing at Countdown. I’m going to rip your wings and show that. There you’ll be, a fallen champion... knowing then that nothing is more deadly than this Rose... and all will have no choice but to bow at the feet of the new Queen of the South Champion!
Throwing down the stick, leading to some harsh static, Rose takes a long look at the belt in Zoey’s hands, patting it before leaving the ring as “Mama Said Knock You Out” starts to play again. Zoey, draping the belt over her shoulder, turns to watch as Rose leaves, the challenger shooting off a few comments as she backs up the ramp and motioning to her waist. Nodding slowly, Zoey holds the belt up high again, the song shifting to “Theatre”, the fans starting to sing along with it!
Joe Koss: Harsh words put back and forth by these two ladies! Shit’s gonna get VERY real at Countdown, Spazzarooni!
Spazz: You said it! Rose says she ain’t no Terminator and she’s right! I’m digging the hard side of that hard body, Koss! Maybe she’ll shock the world!
Joe Koss: She has the capability, but Zoey is darn near unkillable in that ring! We got another classic on our hands for sure!
MAIN EVENT
NO.1 CONTENDERSHIP FOR THE SOUTHERN CROSS CHAMPIONSHIPS
SMC RIOT GROUP VS LIL DREAM MACHINES
Written by Double J
As the bell rings Bandit and Halo meet in the middle of the ring and start slugging it out as the crowd goes wild. Bandit gets the better of Halo after a while with some various punch and kick combinations to back Halo into their corner. Bandit tags in Bullet as the two women stomp a mudhole into Halo and flatten her out.
The Riot Group works over Halo for a while with a succession of quick tags and double team maneuvers. But eventually Halo has had enough as she starts to fight back, throwing forearms into both Shieldmaidens staggering them back! She hits the ropes and comes back with a wicked looking double Black 13 taking out both women at once. With all three women down Halo is able to crawl to her corner and make the tag out to B-Brat who rushes in to quickly try and keep the advantage for her team. She picks up Bullet who is the current legal woman in the match allowing the referee to get the other Riot Group member out of the ring.
B-Brat hooks Bullet's head unde r her arm and drops her with a quick DDT. She rolls her over into a cover but Bullet kicks out at two. B-Brat groans in frustration as she rises to her knees thinking this would be easier than it was but the Riot Group wasn't about to go down without a fight. The Lil Dream Machines then utilize the same strategy the Riot Group used earlier trying to isolate Bullet in their corner. Eventually the Dream Machines hit their Gimme More double team move and go for the cover but Bandit breaks it up in the nick of time.
Halos' frustrations are growing at this point as she's starting to lose her cool. She picks up Bullet and attempts 2 minutes to midnight but Bullet is able to duck out of the way just in the nick of time sending Halo stumbling in the opposite direction as she's able to make the tag to Bandit once again.
Bandit comes in like a house of fire taking Halo down with a clothesline of her own before charging over and knocking B-Brat off the apron. She turns around and measures Halo up as she slowly gets to her feet and nails her with the Dios Es Una Bala. Quickly making the cover as the referee counts the three count to end the match.
