Mysteries…
Surprises and the unexpected were part of everyday life but that doesn’t mean they can’t make you just a little crazy.
That was the place “Psycho” Saoirse Maguire found herself in when it comes to her next match for the EWC and Friday Night Rampage. A mystery match wherein she would be entered with the rest of the active Rampage roster that was not competing in the other two matches already announced on the card. Nobody to know in advance what the match even is, it made for some uneasy tension for the Irish woman as she continued to get ready to go catch her flight alongside her fellow Shieldmaidens, Sam “Titaness” Hamilton, Alex “Bullet” Carbajal, Jackie “Bandit” Layton, Aoife “Banshee” Maguire and Katrina “Hairicin” Knox.
Titaness was to compete in the main event versus Scorpio for her United States Championship.
Bullet, Bandit and Psycho would all be in the mystery match at the whim of the surprise aspect while Banshee would be ringside. Hairicin would most likely remain backstage and possibly even back at the plane since she was not signed in any capacity to EWC or Friday Night Rampage.
As she readies herself, Psycho stares at her phone and just shakes her head in disbelief.
"Psycho" Saoirse Maguire: Tokyo… an’ Rome on th’ same day?
Banshee nods to her sister.
Aoife "Banshee" Maguire: Th’ time difference bae workin’ tae yer advantage on tha one, Sorsh. Ye’ll bae in Tokyo on whot bae Tursday an’ then bae able tae make Rome on Friday.
Psycho stares at the screen in her hand, kanting her head slightly to the left before putting it together in her head.
"Psycho" Saoirse Maguire: Aye, tha bae true…
She trails off and looks back to the tablet in her hands.
"Psycho" Saoirse Maguire: I jess dinna wanna bae th’ one tha kinna make it tae me hardcore match. I spent th’ last few months tellin’ th’ world tha I bae wanton’ a chance tae regain tha belt an’ then I kinna seven make it tae the show on time?
She sets her phone down on the coffee table and points frantically to herself.
"Psycho" Saoirse Maguire: Tha kinna bae me!
Banshee just smiles at her elder sister.
Aoife "Banshee" Maguire: Bandit willna let tha bae ye or ennyone else! She an’ Bullet bae naedin’ tae bae back in Rome as well jess as much as ye bae naedin’ it. She’s bringin’ bote squads o’ pilots jess tae make sure we kin bae makin’ it after Sam fights Scorpio again an’ ye bae havin…
She trails off as she suddenly realizes no one knows what the match is.
Aoife "Banshee" Maguire: Whatever kind o’ match they bae makin’ ye have.
Just then, Hairicin makes her way into the room.
Katrina "Hairicin" Knox: What can’t be you?
Banshee shrugs.
Aoife "Banshee" Maguire: Sorsh jess bae a li’l nervous ‘bout makin’ bote shows is all.
Hairicin nods understandingly.
Katrina "Hairicin" Knox: I know it’s a daunting task, Sorsh, but you can do this. You’ll be fine. Bandit’ll make sure you get to the shows, no problem. You, Bandit and Bullet’ll handle business and you’ll forget all about this worry.
She pauses and then nods, smirking.
Katrina "Hairicin" Knox: And, no matter what, you get to watch Sam knock the shit out of Scorpio again. Can you imagine the look on his face when he realizes she’s still not an easy out that he can just wish away?
Psycho smiles and hugs her sister-in-law-to-be.
"Psycho" Saoirse Maguire: Tanks, Harry.
Hairicin nods back to her.
Katrina "Hairicin" Knox: Of course, gotta have family’s backs, aye?
Banshee nods proudly.
Aoife "Banshee" Maguire: Feckin’ right, aye!
As the three hug again, they are joined by Psycho’s wife, fellow Maiden Becca “Bruiser” Maguire, carrying their seventeen-month-old son, Robbie John.
Becca "Bruiser" Maguire: Hey, look who we found…
The youngster giggles happily at the sight of his second mother. Psycho leans over and takes him in her arms.
"Psycho" Saoirse Maguire: Aye, how ye bae doin’ on this fine day, Boyo? Is Bex Mum baein’ all lovin’ on ye?
Bruiser shrugs.
Becca "Bruiser" Maguire: Maybe?
Psycho nods and looks into their son’s tiny eyes.
"Psycho" Saoirse Maguire: Ye bae takin’ good care o’ yer Mum while we bae off fer a couple o’ days, yeah? Ye baein’ th’ man o’ th’ house, it’s up tae ye. Ye kinna bae lettin’ her get all lonely haer without me. It bae yer job tae make sure tha dinna bae happenin’, yeah?
Bruiser smiles and hugs them both, kissing her wife over their son as he continues to giggle excitedly.
Becca "Bruiser" Maguire: I love you, Sorsh Mum.
Psycho smiles back.
"Psycho" Saoirse Maguire: I love ye, Bex.
She sniffs and starts laughing.
"Psycho" Saoirse Maguire: I tink our son jess tried tae baptize me fer luck on th’ way out th’ door!
Banshee starts laughing right alongside her sister.
Aoife "Banshee" Maguire: It bae holy water then?
Psycho nods as she hands him back to Bruiser.
"Psycho" Saoirse Maguire: It bae th’ holiest.
Seconds later, their phones all go off simultaneously.
"Psycho" Saoirse Maguire: Aye, time tae get goin’ then…
Banshee nods.
Aoife "Banshee" Maguire: I borrowed one o’ Ash’s cars tae take us tae th’ airfield without worryin’ about our bikes.
Hairicin nods as well.
Katrina "Hairicin" Knox: Khary said he would get the cars after we’re off since he has a spare set of keys. He and 3-D will take care of it so we don’t leave two muscle cars sitting alone there since they’re driving one of their mustangs.
Banshee nods.
Aoife "Banshee" Maguire: I borrowed KITT.
Bruiser shakes her head.
Becca "Bruiser" Maguire: A Mustang and a Trans-Am…
Psycho nods.
"Psycho" Saoirse Maguire: Aye, we’re off then.
She leans over and kisses Bruiser lovingly before planting one on the young child’s head as well.
"Psycho" Saoirse Maguire: I love ye, Robbie John. Ye kaep yer Mum busy, yeah?
Bruiser smiles.
Becca "Bruiser" Maguire: He always does.
They kiss one more time.
Becca "Bruiser" Maguire: I love you, come back to me.
