This would be a first.
Since taking over as President of the New Orleans Charter of the Shieldmaidens MC, Alex “Bullet” Carbajal had never needed to leave her Vice President, Angelique “Angel” LeRoux, in charge for any kind of extended period of time.
This trip to Japan would be a cause for that since she would be gone until after a second show on Friday, July 3rd. That means Angel would have to steer the ship in her absence for over a week and with the big meeting scheduled soon, that could get tricky depending on outside forces.
As Bullet prepares to depart the house alongside fellow Maiden Jackie “Bandit” Layton in order to meet Sam “Titaness” Hamilton, “Psycho” Saoirse Maguire, Aoife “Banshee” Maguire and Katrina “Hairicin” Knox for the plane ride to Japan, she pauses in the foyer with Angel.
This was not going to be the fun part of the trip.
AMC: You will be good in charge while we are gone? [/font]
Angel nods quickly.
Angelique "Angel" LeRoux: I’ll have Tibs, Queenie, Sangre and Bruiser to help out. You know if shit goes sideways, Fi will be practically ITCHING for a piece of the action.
Bullet almost laughs.
AMC: Es la verdad… [/font]
Angel sighs heavily.
Angelique "Angel" LeRoux: We’ll keep an eye on her, do not worry. You go have your mystery match and root on Sam. We’ll be fine and we’ll be here when you come back.
Bullet crosses her arms.
Alex "Bullet" Carbajal: If anyone calls about the meeting, you know what to say?
Angel nods slowly.
Angelique "Angel" LeRoux: That it will be soon, you are still setting the date due to certain logistical issues. So far you know all the big guns are planning to attend, you just have a couple left to iron out. If I need to drop names to get attention, use Salazar’s, and wait to see if any specific others are mentioned.
Bullet smiles approvingly.
Alex "Bullet" Carbajal: Bueno…
She pauses and glances out the door.
Alex "Bullet" Carbajal: I do not think Marchand will come fishing around as he will want this meeting to go through and he knows certain people in this position would bow out if he does anything to make them more skittish than they usually are.
Angel nods.
Angelique "Angel" LeRoux: If he does, I will contact you immediately. We’ll use one of the burners and have the twins secure it.
Bullet nods back.
Alex "Bullet" Carbajal: Do not hesitate to lean on Forge or Valkyrie if the need arises. They are both close enough to be able to help handle things if it comes to it.
Angel shrugs.
Angelique "Angel" LeRoux: Neither has your patience.
Bullet simply returns her gaze.
Alex "Bullet" Carbajal: Ange, if you are calling them for help, patience has already gone away. If you call them, it is because you need fighters ready to start a war right off. You know they will not hesitate.
Angel nods again in understanding.
Angelique "Angel" LeRoux: How will you prepare for this match?
Bullet shrugs.
Alex "Bullet" Carbajal: As I would for any other. Since I do not know how many qualify for the match or any of the rules, I simply have to be ready for anything. I know if Nezumi is in the match he is likely to be welcomed as a local hero but aside from that, I have no idea what to expect. Jack and Sorsh are likely to be included in whatever it is but…
She shrugs again.
Alex "Bullet" Carbajal: We go as for any other match. Sorsh will look to kick and possibly go hardcore if she I able. Jack will look to speed and flying. It’s what she enjoys and what she excels at. I will look to use El Martillo’s training and push myself to be the best I can be.
Angel sighs.
Angelique "Angel" LeRoux: Be careful, you never know how we will be received in another country.
Bullet smiles.
Alex "Bullet" Carbajal: I have been doing that since I was twelve.
Angel snickers to herself.
Angelique "Angel" LeRoux: Yes, I suppose you have been.
Bullet kisses her.
Alex "Bullet" Carbajal: Do not worry about the match. We will be fine. We might have to fight each other for the first time but…
She shrugs yet again.
Alex "Bullet" Carbajal: It comes with the territory sometimes. Sam and I had that ladder match in Mile High that is still talked about with reverence. This could end up being the same if it comes down to it. And we know Sorsh will not hold back on a fellow Maiden, we saw that in Mile High in that hardcore championship match, also with Sam.
Angel smiles.
Angelique "Angel" LeRoux: I think there’s something else from Mile High that Jack would like to happen again some time.
Bullet snickers back.
Alex "Bullet" Carbajal: She did enjoy teaming with Sam, didn’t she?
Angel nods.
Angelique "Angel" LeRoux: Almost as much as she likes screaming at Republicans on CNN.
The two share a laugh and then kiss one more time.
Alex "Bullet" Carbajal: Te amo, Angel.
Angelique "Angel" LeRoux: Te amo, Ale.
