Jazmyn finds herself in her hotel room in the Rome, Georgia area on the night prior to her official Southern Rebellion Wrestling debut. She’s looking like she is in some bright spirits as she sits on her bed and has a lot on her mind.
Jazmyn Rain: HELLO! My name is Jazmyn Rain. If you watched wrestling prior to 2018, you DEFINITELY know who I am. If you started watching in 2019… you… probably don’t… but THAT’S OKAY, because for those that DON’T know me, this video is for you! You see, for the last three years, I have had the sad misfortune of not finding too much of a home in professional wrestling ever since New Generation Wrestling shut down suddenly. I mean seriously, I’d been in so many wrestling companies that have fallen by the wayside in the last three years you might as well build a graveyard for them.
...huh… that’s a future vignette idea…
ANYWAY…
Here is the quick overview of who I am and where I come from.
I was born in Miami, Florida on June 11th, 1984 to… ALRIGHT, I’ll fast forward to the part where my wrestling career starts! So my best friend Myra Rivers grew up wanting to be a wrestler and for the first couple of years of her career, I was pretty much her main groupie with… well… no purpose in my life until 2010 when I decided I wanted to be a wrestler.
I was 25 when I decided to make that decision. Yeah… 25… uphill battle. But… I MADE IT… even though Myra was a brutal trainer and mentor at times… that bitch…
Jazmyn takes a pause to playfully roll her eyes, showing that this comment was in jest.
Jazmyn Rain: Fast forward to just before my 26th birthday and Myra and I become TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS TOGETHER! Best feeling in the world… then… she got hurt really had, we had to vacate the titles and poor ME is all on my own…
Darn! What the hell am I going to do without my best friend, right?
WIN MY FIRST SINGLES CHAMPIONSHIP, THAT’S WHAT!
Pause for a quick “fireworks” sound effect to celebrate the occasion.
Jazmyn Rain: Sooo…. I rose up the ranks in 2012, won my second tag team title with someone that I couldn’t stand, turned on the bastard, took a lot of drugs, self-destructed my career, never won the big one and completely fell off the wrestling map for two whole years because of my own stupidity. I TOTALLY pulled a Britney Spears… INCLUDING the shaved head…
But here’s the part where I rose up out of the grave and got sober, which I have been ever since… except for that one time in 2018 I had a slip and a relapse… but… yeah… that was rough, you know. The year is 2015. Who the hell wants to sign a 30 year old wrestler with minimal experience for her age, has been out of wrestling for two years and is a recovering drug addict? Who would be CRAZY enough to do that?
Why… Global Championship Wrestling of course…
THEN… the best chapter of my career began…
Cue that E.S. Posthumus MOTHERFUCKERS!!!!!
A special video package hits with “Unstoppable” by E.S. Posthumus playing in the background showing the epic highlights of Jazmyn’s career in GCW from 2015 to 2018.
It shows her winning the GCW International Championship and her constant defenses.
It shows her winning her very FIRST world championship in the Global Championship in a triple threat match in November 2015, then defending that title against all comers.
Next it shows her setting someone on fire in an Inferno match, defeating the owner of the company at the time straight upin November of 2016, various times she fought against, and won against, her old friend and biggest GCW rival in Myra Rivers…
Then winning the GCW Global Championship a second time in an elimination chamber in November 2017…
Followed by a few defenses in her second reign before winning her third and final Global Championship (and last world title to date) in May 2018 on GCW’s flagship show of the year.
The final clip of the video shows her in 2020 about to accept her induction into the GCW Hall of Fame. The highlight clip ends and cuts back to Jazmyn sitting on the bed.
Jazmyn Rain: That was SO COOL, wasn’t it? In 2018, I was also part of a place called New Generation Wrestling where I reigned as the Five Lakes Champion.
And then the company suddenly closed. Shame. I was at the top of the world with TWO championships at once from TWO different companies. I wound up losing both without even losing them in the ring…
Theeeen…
The fall started…
Cue the Sound of Silence…
Hello Darkness my old friend… I come to talk to you again....
Jazmyn sighs as she briefly remembers all of the dead wrestling companies that she wrestled for that did not work out for her at all and completely stalled her career for virtually all of 2019 and 2020.
Jazmyn Rain: Yeah, I’m not doing a recap video of that… but it WAS a hard time for me. But in 2021… I began to RISE AGAIN! At last, things have started to stabilize with my career and I’m gaining some ground again. In fact, this is the most ground my career has gained in three whole years. Yeah, I can already hear the hater comments….
You’re 37! You’re TOO OLD to make an impact in SRW…
Except for the part where I have WAY less wear and tear on my body than a typical 37 year old in this business would because I started training at 25 and I had that two year hiatus from 2013 to 2015. In reality I’m like what? 29 in wrestling years? 30 at best? I’ve still got a LONG way to go!
You’ve been irrelevant for so long! RETIRE ALREADY!
You’d like that, wouldn’t you? I’m not retiring unless it’s on MY terms.
“YOU HAVEN’T BEEN A CHAMPION IN THREE YEARS! THE GLORY YEARS ARE OVER!”
PFFFFFT! Yeah, try me. I’ve REALLY turned things around this year, particularly in this place named XHW and everything. I’m two wins away from that long coveted title I haven’t held in so long. HOWEVER, I haven’t found my place in this business still, since I left GCW. And why CAN’T it be here? I mean...it is called SOUTHERN Rebellion Wrestling…
I am a pure Southern girl and all straight out of Charlotte, North Carolina…
They DO call me the Charm of the South for a reason. I’m that Southern Belle kinda girl that can REALLY put a hurting on ANYONE that gets in my way, starting with Isa Storm. She talks like she’s a storm, but in reality, she’s just a drizzle, if you know what I mean. She’s out there tweeting, talking about how she’s going to show the world how to wrestle in our match… neglecting to mention me at ALL! Like… what IS that nonsense? I took it as dismissive because DUH, who wouldn’t?
So anyway, the girl has the nerve to respond to me making a bunch of well… read the tweet for yourself…
First off honey, whoever you are referring to, I am NOT them. I don’t know who you are talking about, nor do I care. Secondly, you didn’t even bother to retort. You just wanted to explain something? You say you haven’t overlooked shit and yet… you have offered virtually NOTHING as to why you are going to win other than “I’m prepared, I’m prepared”.
So how prepared were you when you fought for the Hardcore title and lost? Ooooh… struck a nerve didn’t I? Wait, wait, don’t bring up how you won your match before that. I’m NOT Jezebelle, Isa. I am NOT some debut opponent that you are going to cast aside like NOTHING like you did before. What about the match before that? THROAT PUNCH! GUT KICK! SPAGHETTIFICATION! TAP OUT LIKE A BITCH! DESTROYED by Risa Jackson! Yeah, explain THAT one to me? Match before that… tap out to CCM. Match before that was your debut, which you won… BUT… come on… 2-3? You can’t beat the big names here… and sorry but… I AM the next big name here. Seriously, you build yourself up as a storm, but you’ve won only two out of five matches so far.
Seriously?
Isa Storm?
More like Isa BASIC, you know what I’m saying!
You’re not prepared for me.
When I make my debut and when I beat you, I’ll prove that… and I will especially prove that I DESERVE to be in Southern Rebellion Wrestling. Through all the highs and all the lows, people have doubted me my whole career. Yet, I keep proving the doubters wrong again and again and again.
Starting with you, Isa Basic… I’m going to prove them wrong all over again!!!!
Jazmyn gives of a cheeky, yet confident wink, showing that she’s not intimidated by the challenge ahead as she shuts off the camera.
